HOUSE CALL REQUIREMENTS:
1. BATHING

First, we will deterime where the bathing will take place.

It's our first choice to work inside in a laundry sink or walk in shower.

Any dogs that cannot fit in a standard sized laundry sink are considered "Medium" sized dogs. Please check pricing.

What bathing areas are available in your home? Required

Walk-in shower with portable bath and shower sprayer or rinsaroo in temperature controlled environment

Large indoor or laundry sink with rinsaroo in temperature controlled environment (small dogs)

Do you use your own shampoo for sensitive skin? I.e. Aloveen or Malaseb?

2. GROOMING SPACE

Next, we'll use a high velocity dryer or hair dryer to dry your dog on the table before the groom; this usually causes some water spray. If your laundry has bar space and an outlet, we can work in there.

A wall outlet is required to plug in the dryer.

Where will we be able to set up our grooming table and toolbox? We prefer to work against a wall and will require access to an electrical wall outlet. Required

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Do you understand that you or any other animals or people should not be present during the groom? This can often distract dogs - your pet will be treated with care. Owners will get a chance to provide feedback at the end of the groom, and any changes can be made then. Required

Yes, I understand that I or any other pets or people cannot be in the work space during my dog's groom to avoid distraction.

No, I don't feel comfortable with not being able to see my dog being groomed in my home. (Please note, this is a requirement to be able to provide the service.)

Would you be interested in us entering your home whilst you are at work or out, to complete the groom and securely lock up? We are equipped with a 2023 Police Clearance. Required

Do you understand that failing to keep a grooming schedule may result in a matted coat, and that matting fees depending on severity will be applied on-top of the regular groom price? Required

Yes - I understand that not maintaining regular grooming appointments or at home care can result in a matted coat and that a determined matting fee will be applied to the regular groom price.

Do you understand that if your dog is matted, you will be required to sign a matting waiver that states that your dog must be shaved short, and that outlines what shaving matted fur can result in? For example, bruising and hematomas due to relieving the skin of the tight mats or your dog shaking and scratching excessively. Required

Yes, I understand that if I allow my dog's coat to become matted, it must be shaved and I must sign a waiver. I understand that my dog's skin may be bruised or may develop hematomas following the shaving, due to my dog scratching it's skin and shaking it's head and as a result of rapid blood flow returning to the surface of the skin that was previously pulled taut by the matted fur.

Do you understand that Parker & Paw will communicate what can be achieved during your dog's groom, and that this might be different to what you expect? In these scenarios, we can work toward your desired groom, however this FULLY depends on your ability and willingness to maintain your dog's coat at home between appointments. Required

Yes, I understand that what I might expect in my dog's groom may not be achievable during the appointment if my dog's coat is not in the required condition, i.e. matted, or simply not having the right coat type for the style. I understand that with home maintenance between appointments, we can work toward my desired groom.

Do you understand that not confirming your appointment, or not being home for us to access your home and dog, will result in a 100% no-show fee, atop of the rebooked appointment fee, which must be paid to Parker & Paw before the rescheduled groom? Required

Yes - I understand that not confirming or being present for my appointment will result in being charged the full price of the no-show appointment, as well as the price of my rescheduled appointment. I understand that following my no-show, I must pay for the grooming service before it takes place.
